Biography of RallyPoint/6 SCOUT – John Armezzani

MSG, John Armezzani, USA, Ret.        

John Armezzani was born and raised in and around Philadelphia Pennsylvania. He graduated

North Penn High School in 1978 and joined the Pennsylvania Army National Guard as an Infantryman.

In 1980 he volunteered for active duty service and graduated the Special Forces Qualification Course in 1981. He was assigned as a medical specialist to an Operational Detachment “A” team in 5th Special Forces Group (Airborne) and conducted operations in the Middle East, North Africa and the Caribbean. In 1986 he was reassigned to the 1st Special Forces Group (Airborne) and was stationed in Ft. Lewis, WA and Okinawa Japan and conducted operations throughout Southeast Asia and the Pacific Rim. Mr. Armezzani served in various capacities including detachment Sr. Medic and Intelligence Sergeant of a Military Freefall team, Operations Sergeant at ODA, Company and Battalion level. Mr Armezzani retired in 2001 as a Master Sergeant.

 

Mr. Armezzani has 11 years’ experience as a GS 12 Rating Specialist for the Department of Veterans Affairs determining levels of veteran’s disabilities. Mr Armezzani is a graduate of the VA’s EX-POW Case Management Course and has made decisions on the level of disability for most of the EXPOWs and Medal of Honor recipients for the state of Washington. He was also a trainer and mentor other VA decision makers.  He retired from the VA in June 2012. Mr. Armezzani is currently the Chief Executive Officer for the OASIS Group, an organization dedicated to providing advice and assistance to USSOCOM veterans with their VA issues.
