Biography of RallyPoint/6 Resource Room Manager – SFC Evert Janson, USA, Ret.

Evert entered Military service on the 10thof October 1992, when he enlisted in the United States Army. After Basic Combat Training, he entered Advanced Individual Training at Fort Sill, OK, having selected the Military Occupation Specialty of Forward Observer (13F). Upon completion of Basic Combat Training and Advanced Individual Training, Evert began what would wind up being a 20-year career, and would see him call Germany, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Kentucky, Washington State and New York State home. He would deploy several times in support of Operation’s Iraqi and Enduring Freedom.
After completing his Military obligation, Evert accepted a position with General Dynamics as a Contract worker with the Stryker Program. Although the position enabled Evert to remain connected with the Military Community, he still felt that there was more that he could do for the Community that he called home for two decades. In 2014, he accepted a position as the Resource Room Manager with RallyPoint/6, a Non-Profit focused on helping Veterans in the South Puget Sound Region. In this capacity, he was able to continue serving Veterans through managing the resources available to them. The position with RallyPoint/6 has given him the opportunity to continue his service, by assisting those Veterans’ making the transition back to the civilian sector.
Evert currently resides in Yelm, WA with his spouse Betsy and their two daughters, Amy (16) and Sara (14), where he is very active in his community, as well as the Veterans community in and around the South Puget Sound area.
